The 2011 Annual Unified Auditions will be held at Salvage Vanguard Theater on Saturday, September 17th from 9am to 4pm. This is a great opportunity for actors to be seen by directors, producers, and leaders of both theatre and film groups from around central Texas.
Actors of all ages, ethnicities, and physical ability are encouraged to participate. Showcase your talent and meet others in the Austin arts industry!
All applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
-Be a member of AEA or AEA eligible
-Have accumulated the equivalent of one year's acting training
-Have performed in at least two non school, public stage productions (university/college productions excepted)
What to prepare before the auditions:
-One 1-minute monologue that best represents your acting ability AND/OR...
-16 bars or approximately 30 seconds of music (must provide sheet music in your key) No pre-recorded music or a capella songs. Music auditions will take place in the afternoon, monologue-only auditions in the morning.
-50 standard 8"x10" headshots and resumes, (resumes must be affixed to headshots) mailed or delivered to the ACA offices. The official deadline on headshot/resume acceptance is September 2nd, 2011. Resumes must include your address, telephone number, email address and cite previous performing experience.
